Procurement Specialist- 100% in-office/Santa Barbara, CA

$55,000-80,000 annually
Job Description: We are seeking a persistent, diligent, and highly motivated professional to join our team. This new hire will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing surplus new and used battery, solar, and renewable energy equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Prospecting: Identify, onboard, and build relationships with vendors.
* Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring available inventory and securing the best pricing for each party involved.
* Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to secure favorable agreements for customers.
* CRM Maintenance: Compile and maintain a database of potential purchasing opportunities, tracking project details, timelines, and key contacts.
* Purchasing Documentation: Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and deal documentation for customers and vendors, clearly outlining pricing and terms.
* Effective Communication: Communicate the value and benefits of our services through cold calling, email campaigns, and virtual meetings.
* Negotiation & Closing: Finalize contracts and purchase agreements, ensuring that pricing, services, and terms align with the needs of both the company and our clients.
* Sourcing Strategy & Forecasting: Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute sourcing strategies.
Qualifications:
* 1-3+ years of experience in sales, procurement, supply chain management or other relevant fields
* Experience in a B2B sales role is preferred but not required
* Exposure to cold outreach (cold calling, email campaigns, etc.)
* Track record of achieving professional goals
* Familiarity with CRM platforms
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
* Willingness to travel as needed for industry events (conferences, trade shows, client visits, etc.)
